2) That the petitioners/accused have preferred the above criminal petition challenging the registration of FIR/complaint and thereby initiation of criminal proceeding against them in Crime 189/2023 of Mysuru City Women Police Station, Mysuru City pending on the file of Hon'ble 7th Addl.Civil Judge (Jr.Dn) and JMFC Court, Mysuru City registered for the offences punishable under sections 498A, 504 r/w 149 IPC and Section 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act. That this Hon'ble High Court by its
order dated 27/02/2024 was pleased to issue notice to respondents No 2 and was pleased to stay the further investigation against accused No.2 to 6 and petition against accused No.1/petitioner No.1 herein was withdrawn. It is humbly submitted that in the meanwhile there is an amicable settlement held between the parties and hence the present application is filed. A separate petition i.e. Crl.P.No.13836/2024 is filed by the accused No.1/husband before this Hon'ble High Court for compounding/compromise.
