Present petition is filed by the petitioner, seeking

direction to the respondent Nos.1 and 2 to rectify a purported mistake entered in the Death certificate issued by respondent No.2 at column No.7. It is contended in column No.7 of the death certificate name of father of the deceased is referred to as 'Siddaramaiah' instead of 'Venkategowda'.

It is seen that the death certificate has been issued on 15.11.2003. Matter pertains to changing of name. The same requires material evidence to prove the correct name of the father of the deceased. The same cannot be effected by mere saying of the petitioner.

In that view of the matter, petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to avail appropriate remedy under law if so advised.
