The petitioners are before this Court calling in question the proceedings in C.C.No.3551/2019 registered for offences punishable under Section 498A of the IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

During the pendency of these proceedings, it transpires that the parties to the lis have entered into a settlement and have filed such memorandum of settlement. Terms of settlement reads as follows:

"4. The 1 petitioner has already executed a Registered sale deed in favour of the 2nd petitioner towards permanent alimony, site bearing No. 127, Sy No. 434, 441-1A, Valmeekipuram Village, Vayalpal Panchayath, Chittor District Andhra Pradesh vide certificate No. 1702/2018-19 dated 01/08/2018 sheet 1 to 5, book I. C.S NO. 1874/2018 before the Sub Registrar, Chitoor District, Andhra Pradesh.

5. In view of the above settlement arrived between the parties, the 2nd petitioner has agreed to withdraw/close the following cases filed against 1st petitioner.

a) The 2nd petitioner filed cyber crime complaint before Nelamangala Police Station lodged FIR in crime No. 283/2015 P/s under section 66 A of 1.T Act 2000 and the same was B reported.

b) Crl Misc No. 259/2016 under section 125 of Cr. P C pending on the file of the Prl. Civil Judge and JMFC, Nelamangala.

c) Crime No. 252/2017 under section 498-A of IPC r/w section 3 & 4 of D.P Act before the Nelamangala Police Station.

d) M.C No. 48/2017 pending before the Senior Civil Judge, Nelamangala.

6. In view of the above settlement arrived between the parties, the 1st petitioner has agreed to withdraw the case filed against the 2nd petitioner in M.C No. 46/2017 pending before the Senior Civil Judge, Nelamangala.

7. The petitioners further submit that they have no claims of whatsoever nature against each other either past, present or future"

In the light of application for compounding being filed

along with the memorandum of settlement and offences not being against the State, I deem it appropriate to accept the compounding application and terminate the proceedings against the petitioners in the subject petition.

For the aforesaid reasons, the following:
