THIS WRIT PETITION IS FILED UNDER ARTICLES 226 AND 227 OF THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA PRAYING TO DIRECT THE R-2 TO PROVIDE POLICE PROTECTION TO THE PETITIONERS TO PROTECT THEMSELVES AND THEIR PROPERTY AND ETC.,

The short grievance of the petitioners is as to nonconsideration of their representation dated 18.01.2019 a copy whereof is at Annexure-H wherein they have sought for some police protection or at least visitation for safety purpose.

Learned AGA on request having accepted notice for the respondents initially opposed the writ petition contending that regard being had to the huge population, it is bit difficult to consider request of the kind; however, now he fairly submits that he would instruct his clients to look into the matter in terms of the State Policy and also Rule 29 of Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, in a time bound way.

In the above circumstances, this writ petition is disposed off placing on record the assurance of the learned AGA.

Time for compliance is eight weeks. All contentions are kept open.
