In this petition, petitioner has sought for the

following reliefs:

“A) A writ of mandamus may kindly be issued with suitable directions to the Permanent Lok Adalat, Dharwad, to enhance the compensation to Rs.16,80,000/- against the award of Rs.4,16,000/- passed by the Permanent Lok Adalat, Dharwad, in PLA Petition No.250/2017 dated 21.07.2014.

B) Any other appropriate order or directions that this Hon’ble Court deems just and proper in the circumstances of the case be passed in the ends of justice and equity.”

Though several contentions have been urged by the petitioner in the present petition, having

regard to the fact that the relief as sought for by the petitioner is not capable of being granted in the present petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits / demerits of the claim of the petitioner, I deem it just and appropriate to dispose of this petition, reserving liberty to the petitioner to take recourse to such remedies as available in law.
