The breach alleged is of the directions contained in the judgment and order dated 2^nd September 2020 passed by the learned Single Judge. A compliance affidavit has been filed by the accused. A copy of the judgment and order dated 8^th March 2021 passed by the Appeal Bench in an appeal against the said judgment and order dated 2^nd September 2020 has been annexed to the compliance affidavit. While disposing of the appeal, the time for implementation of the order passed by the learned Single Judge has been extended by a period of thirty days.

The earlier order passed by this Court dated 10^th March 2021 records compliance with Clause (iii) of the operative part of the judgment and order dated 2^nd September 2020. A copy of the Official Memorandum dated 24^th March 2021 is annexed to the compliance affidavit reporting compliance with the direction contained in Clause (iii) of the operative part of the judgment and order of the learned Single Judge. The grievance of the learned counsel appearing for the complainants is that the said order is made subject to approval of the Higher Education Department and the Government of Karnataka. He submitted that this clause is

unwarranted. The learned counsel accepts that even the direction regarding grant of increments in terms of Clause (iv) of the operative part of the judgment and order of which breach is alleged has been complied with by issuing an Official Memorandum dated 30^th March 2021.

Hence, there is a substantial compliance made by the accused with the judgment and order of which breach is alleged. If the complainants have any grievance about any orders passed by the accused, it will be always open for them to adopt appropriate proceedings in accordance with law.

4. Accordingly, the contempt petition is disposed of.
