: In this writ petition, petitioner has prayed to quash Annexure-3 i.e. Memo No.2367 dated 15.10.2024 by which the private respondent No.5 has been appointed as Director In-charge, (Soil Conservation) Government of Jharkhand, Ranchi.

It is the case of the petitioner that ignoring the seniority and competence of this petitioner, the respondent No.5 has been made the Director In-charge, whereas the petitioner was also competent to be appointed as In-charge Director.

Now, during course of argument, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already superannuated from service, thus, even if the petitioner is found competent, he cannot be made the Director.

Considering the submission of the petitioner and the fact that the petitioner has already superannuated, this writ petition is dismissed

as infructuous.

Accordingly, I.A. No.14858 of 2025 & I.A. No.14682 of 2025 stands disposed of.
