04/ 03.02.2026 : Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned counsel for the State.

The petitioners are apprehending their arrest in connection with Pratappur P.S. Case No. 97 of 2025, registered under sections 274, 275, 3(5) of BNS, 2023 and section 47(A) of Excise Act, pending in the Court of learned S.D.J.M, Chatra.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that 55 liters of mahua liquor has been recovered from the house of the co-accused persons namely, Dinesh Yadav and Ramudit Das and they have taken the name of these petitioners. On these grounds, he submits that the petitioners may kindly be provided privilege of anticipatory bail.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer and submits that allegations the name of the petitioners has come in the confessional statement of the co-accused persons.

Considering that the alleged recovery has been made from the house of the co-accused persons who have taken the name of the petitioners in that view of the matter, the petitioners are directed to surrender before the learned court
