Heard the parties.

The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Karra P.S. Case No. 46 of 2013, corresponding to G.R. No. 306/2013, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 307, 353, 414, 34 of the I.P.C. and under Sections 25(1-B)/26/27/35 of the Arms Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner in furtherance of common intention with the co-accused attempted to murder the police personnel by firing upon them. It is submitted that the allegation against the petitioner is false. It is next submitted that in the meanwhile the petitioner has been acquitted in all the other cases in which he was involved. No one has sustained injuries in the alleged occurrence. It is further submitted that petitioner undertakes that he will co-operate with the trial of the case and will not annoy or disturb the informant or witnesses of the case. It is lastly submitted that petitioner has been in custody since 24.08.2016 as mentioned in para 13 of the instant bail application. Hence it is submitted that the petitioner be released on bail.

Learned Addl.P.P. opposes the prayer for bail.
