02/12.06.2026 Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned counsel appearing for the State.

The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Jugsalai P.S. Case No.19/2026, registered for the offence under Section 12 of Jharkhand Bovine Animal Prohibition of Slaughter Act, 2005, pending in the Court of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jamshedpur.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a hotelier. She further submits that the alleged 22.900 Kgs of meat was meant for restaurant, which has been kept in the house of the petitioner. She then submits that false allegations are made that the said flesh was not of goat. She next submits that it has come in the order of the learned Sessions Judge that there is no FSL report till date. On these grounds, she submits that anticipatory bail may kindly be granted to the petitioner.

Learned counsel appearing for the State opposed the prayer and submits that apprehension is there that the meat was of bovine animals and in view of that, the prayer for anticipatory bail may kindly be rejected.

Considering that the said meat was said to be for the purpose of restaurant and the petitioner runs a restaurant and it has been pointed out that at that point of time, there was Eid festival and it has also come in the order of the learned Sessions Judge that there is no FSL report till the passing of the order by the learned Sessons Judge and in the attending facts and circumstances of the case, I am inclined to extend the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the above-named petitioner is directed to surrender before the learned Court within three weeks from today and in the event of his arrest or surrender, he shall be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Twenty Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jamshedpur in connection with Jugsalai P.S. Case No.19/2026, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
