The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier dismissed as withdrawn in B.A. No. 430 of 2026.
Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that a similarly situated co-accused namely Rajendra Mahto has been granted bail in B.A. No.2261 of 2026. It has been submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 19.10.2025.
Learned A.P.P has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner and has submitted that the petitioner has got a criminal antecedent. He, however, admits the similarity of the case of the present petitioner with that of the co-accused Rajendra Mahto.
Regard being had to the above, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (rupees ten thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Dumka in connection with Jarmundi P.S. Case No.67 of 2024.
