2. The instant bail application has been preferred by the petitioner for grant of regular bail in connection with Jariyagarh P.S. Case No. 40/2025, registered for the offences under Sections 140(2), 3(5) of B.N.S., 2023, pending in the Court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Khunti.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has not committed any offence. The petitioner was neither apprehended from the place of occurrence nor from the alleged place of confinement of the victim, rather, he was arrested from his house and no incriminating article was recovered from his conscious possession. He further submits that petitioner has go no criminal antecedent. He further submits that petitioner is languishing in custody since 13.12.2025; as such, the petitioner may be enlarged on bail. He is ready to abide by every condition imposed by this court.

Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner and submits that serious allegations have been levelled against the petitioner i.e. kidnaping and demand of ransom of Rs. 10,00,000/-. He further submits that on the confessional statement of the petitioner the Bolero used in commission of the crime was recovered and on the confessional statement of co-accused Jagran Lohra one toy type pistol used in commission of this crime has also been recovered.
5. Looking to the gravity of charges, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail at this stage.
6. Accordingly, the instant application stands dismissed.
