02 / 06.03.2025 Petitioner has filed this application for quashing of the First Information Report including entire criminal proceedings arising out of Katras P.S. Case No. 82 of 2024 registered under sections 147, 341, 323, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code and section 3(1) (r) (f) of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, pending in the court of Sri S.K. Singh, learned Additional Sessions Judge-I-cum-Special Judge, SC/ST, Dhanbad.

From perusal of the First Information Report, it appears that in the midnight of 23 / 24.03.2024, accused persons including the petitioners entered into the house of the Informant and demanded Rs. 20,000/- per month as rangdari. They also assaulted the Informant and her husband. There is specific allegation against the accused Sourabh Kumar that he assaulted the husband of the Informant by rod, due to which, he sustained serious injury on his head, while allegation against accused Subhash Rajwar is that he snatched the gold chain of the Informant. As far as the petitioner Laxman Pandey is concerned, it is alleged that he had abused the Informant by taking her caste name.

From bare perusal of the FIR, it appears that there is specific allegation against the petitioners and co-accused persons of having committed the offence as alleged.

In view of the aforesaid facts, no case for quashing of FIR of Katras P.S. Case No. 82 of 2024 is made out. Accordingly, this application is dismissed. Pending I.A., if any, stands disposed of.
