Heard learned counsels for the parties.

The instant writ application has been preferred by the petitioner praying for a direction upon the respondent authorities to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Assistant Professor from the post of Demonstrator which has not been done till date in spite of repeated requests made by the petitioner.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondent-Kolhan University has already recommended the

name of this petitioner for the post of lecturer, for necessary approval to Secretary, JPSC vide its recommendation letter dated 21.03.2024, however, till date the respondent-JPSC has not taken any decision in the matter; as such, he submits that in view of Annexure-A to the counter affidavit, filed by the respondentKolhan University, the JPSC should look into the matter and give necessary recommendation to the University so that consequential benefits may be given to this petitioner.

4. Learned counsel for the respondent-JPSC and learned counsel for the respondent-State do not have any objection.

Having regard to the aforesaid submission, it appears that on 21.03.2024, respondent-Kolhan University has already recommended the name of this petitioner for the post of lecturer, for necessary approval to Secretary, JPSC; as such, the instant writ application is hereby disposed of by directing the JPSC to look into the matter and send the approval letter to the University within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order. Thereafter, the University will notify the promotion of this petitioner within a further period of six weeks and thereafter, the State respondent will pass a formal order for the purpose of consequential benefits to the petitioner within a period of another eight weeks.

6. With the aforesaid direction, the instant writ application stands disposed in the manner indicated hereinabove.
