04/06.08.2024 Heard Mr. Anurag Kashyap, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Sunil Kumar Dubey, learned A.P.P. for the State.
The petitioner is an accused in connection with Rail (Hatia) P.S. Case No. 12/2024(N).
It has been alleged that five persons were apprehended at Hatia Railway Station and 32 Kg. of Ganja was recovered.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that so far as the petitioner is concerned, from his possession 08 Kg. of Ganja was recovered. It has been submitted that the said quantity is an intermediate quantity. Learned counsel further adds that the petitioner is in custody since 08.05.2024 and the petitioner does not have any criminal antecedents.
Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner.
Regard being had to the quantity of Ganja recovered, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. The same is hereby rejected at this stage.
