02/06.08.2024 Heard Mr. Sushant Kumar Sinha, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Nawin Kumar Singh, learned A.P.P. for the State.

The petitioner is an accused in connection with Tandwa P.S. Case No. 94/2018, corresponding to G.R. No. 856/2018.

It has been alleged that the miscreants used to demand Rs. 40 per ton from the Bedanta Coal Transporting Company.

So far as the petitioner is concerned, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is not named in the First Information Report and has been implicated on the confessional statement of the co-accused persons. Learned counsel further submits that one of the co-accused namely, Arjun Ganjhu has been granted bail by this Court in B.A. No. 8192 of 2020. It has been submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 17.11.2023.

Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner and has submitted that the petitioner has got several criminal antecedents.

However, regard being had to the manner of implication of the petitioner, he is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount

each, to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chatra in connection with Tandwa P.S. Case No. 94/2018, corresponding to G.R. No. 856/2018.
