Heard the parties.

The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Ghatsila P.S. Case No.47 of 2022, corresponding to G.R. Case No.280 of 2022, for the offences registered under Sections 363/366 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 302/201/120B/34 of the Indian Penal Code has been added, pending in the court of learned District & Additional Sessions Judge-I, Ghatsila.

On 04.05.2022, daughter of the informant namely Anchal Devi went missing. Suspicion was raised upon the named accused Prabhat Kr. Pramanik that he might have hand in missing of the victim as he was having illicit relationship with her. Subsequently dead body of the victim was recovered and the needle of suspicion pointed towards her husband Krishna Nath that he might have committed her murder. Krishna Nath was apprehended and he confessed his guilt and spelt out the involvement of the petitioner commission of murder of his wife.

Mr. Chandrajit Mukherjee, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that apart from confession of co-accused there is no other material against the petitioner on the record.

Mrs. Anuradha Sahay, learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that apart from confession, there is no other material against the petitioner on the record.

Considering the aforesaid fact, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/-(Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned District & Additional Sessions Judge-I, Ghatsila in connection with Ghatsila P.S. Case No.47 of 2022, corresponding to G.R. Case No.280 of 2022.
