Apprehending his arrest, the petitioner named above has moved this Court for grant of anticipatory bail in connection with Khalari P.S. Case No. 19 of 2022 registered under Sections 467, 468, 471, 420, 414, 34 of Indian Penal Code and Section 30(ii) of Coal Mines Act, pending in the court of S.D.J.M., Ranchi.

As per the prosecution case, 20 tonnes of coal was seized from a truck bearing Registration No. BR 02 M 4897 which was being transported on the basis of forged papers. There was discrepancy in the amount of coal as per the document which was being transported. The driver disclosed that the coal was being transported under the instruction of one Pintu.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has no concern with the truck or seized coal and co-accused Ranjit Kumar has been granted anticipatory bail by this Court.

The Addl. P.P. opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that the petitioner has furnished the document to the driver which was found to be forged.

Considering the submissions of learned counsel and the fact as discussed above, the anticipatory bail application is allowed. Hence, in the event of his arrest or surrender within a period of three weeks from the date of this order, the petitioner named above shall be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Court below, subject to the conditions laid down under section 438 (2) Cr. P.C.

The petitioner will cooperate in the investigation and will appear on notice under Section 41A of Cr. P.C.
