Apprehending his arrest, petitioner- Rohit Soni @ Rohit Kr. Soni has moved this Court for grant of privilege of anticipatory bail in connection with Barkatha P.S. Case No. 39 of 2020 (G.R. No. 958 of 2020) registered under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code.
Heard the parties.
It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that there is no legal material against the petitioner and the only material against him is the confessional statement of co-accused made to police.
Addl. P.P. opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that the petitioner has criminal antecedent and he is also involved in other cases also.
Considering the nature of allegation and criminal antecedent, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, his prayer for anticipatory bail is hereby rejected. Petitioner is directed to surrender before the Court below within two weeks.
