07/ 04.11.2022 The petitioner is seeking regular bail, in connection with R.C. Case No. 01 of 2020-EOW-R, registered under Sections 120-B, 420, 467, 468 and 471 of IPC and Sections 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, pending in the court of learned A.J.C.XVIII-cum-Special Judge, CBI, Ranchi.
Mr. Sourav Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the borrower of the loan and the Branch Manager and other borrowers have already been granted anticipatory bail in A.B.A. Nos. 6906 of 2020, 7116 of 2020, 7211 of 2020 respectively. He submits that the petitioner is in jail custody since 20.04.2022 and chargesheet has been submitted in this case and cognizance has also been taken against the petitioner.
Mr. Anil Kumar, learned Addl.S.G.I. appearing for the CBI opposes the prayer.
Regard being had to the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering that the petitioner is in jail custody since 20.04.2022 and chargesheet has already been submitted in this case and also considering that the other co-accused persons have already been granted anticipatory bail in this case, I am inclined to release the petitioner, above named, on regular bail.
Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to be released on regular bail, on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/-(Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned A.J.C.-XVIII-cum-Special Judge, CBI, Ranchi, in connection with R.C. Case No. 01 of 2020-EOW-R.
