The petitioner is an accused in connection with Sessions Trial Case No. 138 A of 2009 arising out of Lesliganj P.S. Case No. 54 of 2006, G.R. No. 820 of 2006.
The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected by this Court in B.A. No. 4968 of 2021.
It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that out of 28 chargesheeted witnesses, only seven witnesses have been examined so far. It has further been submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 24.12.2020.
However, considering the nature of allegations levelled against the petitioner, which indicates that it was the petitioners who had fired at the deceased, I am not inclined to reconsider the prayer for bail of the petitioner, which stands rejected once again with a direction to the learned trial court to expedite the trial.
