Heard the parties through video conferencing.

Learned counsel for the petitioners personally undertakes to remove the defects as pointed out by the stamp reporter within two weeks after the lockdown period is over.

In view of the personal undertaking of the learned counsel for the petitioners, the defects pointed out by the stamp reporter are ignored for the present.

This criminal miscellaneous petition has been filed under section 482 Cr.P.C by the petitioners with a prayer for modification of the order dated 03.03.2020, passed in A.B.A. No. 8215 of 2019.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners were directed to surrender before the court below within six weeks but due to Covid-19 Pandemic, they could not surrender within the stipulated time. Hence, it is submitted that time to surrender before the court below in terms of the order dated 03.03.2020, passed in A.B.A. No. 8215 of 2019 be extended for six weeks from the date of this order.

Considering the aforesaid submission of the learned counsel for the petitioners, the prayer for extension of time for the petitioners to surrender in the court below in terms of the order dated 03.03.2020, passed in A.B.A. No. 8215 of 2019 is allowed. Hence, the petitioners are directed to surrender before the court below “within six weeks from the

date of this order in terms of the order dated 03.03.2020, passed in

A.B.A. No. 8215 of 2019”.

The order dated 03.03.2020, passed in A.B.A. No. 8215 of 2019 is

modified to the aforesaid extent only.

This criminal miscellaneous petition is disposed of accordingly.
