The petitioner is an accused in connection with A.C.B. P.S. Case No. 10 of 2021 arising out of A.C.B. P.S. Case No. 10 of 2021.

It has been alleged that illegal gratification was demanded from the complainant for release of fund allotted for construction of Dhomkudia Bhawan by the District Welfare Officer as well as present petitioner, who was an Assistant in the office. On an information, a trap was laid and the petitioner was caught red handed accepting the tainted money of Rs.20,000/-.

The petitioner appears to be posted as an Assistant in the District Welfare office, Palamau, who was alleged to be involved in demanding illegal gratification along with the District Welfare Officer. So far as District Welfare Officer is concerned, he has been granted bail by this Court in B.A. No. 13276 of 2021. The petitioner is in custody since 6.8.2021.

Regard being had to the period of custody, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail, on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand only), with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, (Anti-Corruption Bureau), Palamau at Daltonganj in connection with A.C.B. P.S. Case No. 10 of 2021 arising out of A.C.B. P.S. Case No. 10 of 2021.
