The instant application has been preferred by the petitioner for a direction upon the respondent authorities to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police after correcting the seniority list of the inspectors of police as per the representation dated 05.06.2009.

3. At the outset learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the instant application has been filed way back in the year 2010; as such, the case may be disposed of by giving liberty to the petitioner to raise his grievance, if at all the same has not been redressed till date.

4. The learned counsel for the respondent State does not have any objection to the aforesaid contention of the petitioner.

In view of the aforesaid facts and limited submissions of the learned counsel for the parties, the instant application is disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh representation raising his grievance, if the same has not been redressed till date, within a period of 3 months from today before the respondent No.3. If any such representation is filed before the respondent no.3; the same shall be disposed of by a reasoned and speaking order within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of such representation.
