Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned APP appearing for the State.
The petitioner is an accused in connection with S.C. No. 197 of 2017 arising out of Borio P.S. Case No. 68 of 2016 (G.R. No. 195 of 2016), pending in the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge-I, Sahibganj.
Earlier the prayer for bail of the petitioner was twice rejected in B.A. No. 3777 of 2017 and B.A. No. 6289 of 2018 apart from one bail application being withdrawn by the petitioner in B.A. No. 913 of 2018.
It has been stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that all the witnesses have been examined save and except the Investigating Officer.
The allegation made against the petitioner is of assaulting the husband of the informant with axe.
In view of the fact that the trial is on the verge of closure, I am not inclined to reconsider the prayer for bail made by the petitioner, which is accordingly rejected once again.
