08/06.01.2020 Heard Mr. R.S. Mazumdar, learned senior counsel for the petitioners and Ms. Priya Shrestha, learned A.P.P. for the State.
The petitioners are accused in connection with Khelari P.S. Case No. 40/2019.
It has been alleged that both the petitioners were involved in extortion on behalf of Aman Srivastava Gang. Huge amount of cash was seized from both the accused persons.
It has been submitted by the learned senior counsel for the petitioners that both the petitioners are coal traders and therefore it cannot be said that the amount which was recovered from the petitioners were uncounted for.
The petitioners are in custody since 26.05.2019 and it appears that only one witness has been examined out of seven charge-sheet witnesses.
