village Koria, P.S. Khathikund in the District of Dumka and remained there for four years and she gave birth to a female child in the month of December, 2010. It is alleged that the family members of the accused-respondent No.1-Om Prakash Mandal demanded cash of Rs.10,00,000/- only from her father. The complainant’s father though had given adequate present at the time of marriage between the parties yet gave another Rs.1,50,000/- to the respondent No.1 but could not meet the entire demand. When respondent No.1 came to know that the father of the appellant shall not fulfill the demand of Rs.10,00,000/-, the respondent No.1 along with co-accused became furious and they began to assault the appellant brutally with lathi , fists, and slaps several times for the period of four years continuously. The complainant accompanied the respondent No.1 to Delhi along with their daughter and there the accused-respondent No.1 used filthy language and tried to kill their minor daughter. The respondent No.1 had kept another girl namely Jyoti Kumari in his residential house for two years. The respondents stopped providing food and clothes to the appellant and took A.T.M. Card of the S.B.I., Dumka of the appellant and also took the female minor child from her.
