The petitioner has been made an accused in connection with Adityapur P.S Case No. 236 of 2017, corresponding to G.R. No. 853 of 2017 for the offence under sections 302, 201/34 I.P.C and under section 3/4Witch Craft Act.

Perused the report dated 09.01.2019 submitted by learned Additional Sessions Judge No. III, Seraikella, which reveals that the charge has been framed on 20.11.2018. No prosecution witness has been examined in this case until now and the next date in the record is 06.02.2019 for production of prosecution evidences in this case.

In view of the matter, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, prayer for bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected.

However, the trial court is directed to conclude the trial within one year from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

¶11

Liberty is given to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail, if the trial is not concluded within one year.

Let a copy of this order be communicated to the court below through FAX.
