Mr. Kaushik Sarkhel, learned counsel, for the petitioner, has submitted that the petitioner was married as per the customary santhal tribal rights and rituals in April, 2011 with the opposite party. That out of the wedlock, one son was born. That the opposite party/ husband from the day of the marriage was demanding Rs.50,000/- and other articles which could not be fulfilled by the petitioner. That due to nonfulfillment of the demand, the petitioner was tortured by the O.P and she took refuge in her parental house. That she filed a complaint before the Mahila Thana at Jamtara. The O.P appeared before the Mahila Thana and given an undertaking that he would not maltreat the petitioner whereupon a compromise took place between the parties. The reconciliation report was sent to the District Legal Services Authority, (D.L.S.A.) Jamtara and on 09.10.2016 the matter was put up before the Lok Adalat where both the parties had put their signature on the compromise petition.
