Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner(s).
Learned Special P.P opposes the prayer for bail.
The petitioner is an accused for the offence under Sections 7/13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
It is alleged that the petitioner, who is the In-charge Circle Inspector, has been caught red handed while he was accepting bribe of Rs.4000/-.
Counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is in custody since 24.11.2017. She further submits that chargesheet has been submitted in this case and the petitioner has been put under suspension.
In view of the aforesaid facts of this case, I am inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, namely, Sahid Anwar is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge (ACB), Ranchi, in connection with Vigilance P.S. Case No. 24/2017, corresponding to Vigilance Case No. 26/2017, with a condition that he will appear before the trial court on each and every date of trial, failing which, his bail bond shall stand cancelled and necessary steps will be taken for his re-arrest.
