The petitioner is an accused in a case instituted under Sections 449, 457, 354, 354A, 354D, 376/511 of the Indian Penal Code and also under Section 3(xi) (xii) of the S.C. and S.T. (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner happens to be the Press Reporter and does work for one of the News Channels. He seems to have been falsely implicated by making a preplanned trap for the reason that this petitioner used to publish News relating to atrocities committed by the police persons. Moreover, the case, at best, falls under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code for which the petitioner can be said to have sufficiently been punished as he has been in custody since 24.11.2013.
Regard being had to the facts and circumstances of the case, the above-named petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Latehar, in connection with Latehar (Mahila) P.S. Case No. 33 of 2013, corresponding to G.R. No.767 of 2013.
