Charge sheet bearing File No.18/Challan dated 21.12.2016 titled CBI v/s Surjeet Kour and ors. in case investigation under section 5 (2) read with 5 (1) (d) and 120-B, read with 420. 467. 468 and 471 RPC, before the Special Judge Anticorruption CBI Cases Jammu, is challenged in the instant petition.
On the motion hearing the court while issuing notice to other side, had stayed the proceedings before the trial court till next date. The matter was listed on 15.9.2020 but because of non-appearance of the counsel for the petitioners the matter could not be considered. The court has not extended the impugned order. However, since there is no representation on behalf of the petitioners today also and the court feels it necessary to close the proceedings. Accordingly, the petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. The interim direction shall stand vacated.
Dismissed.
