By way of instant application, prayer has been made by learned Additonal Sessions Judge, Kangra at Dharamshala for extension of time to conclude the trial in terms of order dated 24.11.2023 passed by this Court in Cr.MP(M) No. 2812 of 2023, titled Surji Singh Vs. State of HP , whereby this Court while withdrawing the petition, specifically directed the Court below to conclude the trial expeditiously, preferably before commencement of winter vacation in the trial Court. Since on account of unavoidable circumstances, Court below has not been able to do the needful well within stipulated time, prayer has been made for extension of time.
For the reasons stated in the application, the same is allowed and further two months time, as prayed for, is granted to learned trial Court to conclude the trial within stipulated time. Fresh application, if any, for extension of time shall not be appreciated. Registry is directed to apprise the learned Court below with regard to passing of the instant order, enabling it to do the needful well within stipulated time. The application stands disposed of.
