This application has been moved by respondents No.1 to 5 for releasing the compensation amount awarded in their favour by the learned Motor Accidents Claim Tribunal in terms of award dated 25.07.2023.
Learned counsel for the applicants states that no amount till date has been released in their favour out of the awarded compensation amount; The deceased was wife of respondent No.1 and mother of respondents No.2 to 5. It has further been submitted that respondents require the amount for meeting their day to day financial needs.
Learned counsel for the non-applicants/ appellants submits that he has no objection in case the some reasonable amount is released to the applicants out of the awarded compensation amount.
In view of above submission, it is ordered that an amount of Rs.1,00,000/- shall be released in favour of respondent No.1 and 2 each, whereas an amount of Rs.50,000/- shall be released in favour of respondent No.3 to 5 each, out of their shares in terms of the impugned award. Amount be remitted in their bank accounts, details whereof have been furnished in the application.
The application stands disposed of.
