The present petitions are arising from FIR No. 49/2013, registered on 29.6.2013 in Police Station Kasauli, under Section 506 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3(i) (x) Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.

before the Supreme Court. On 28.6.2013, the petitioner Braham Rishi Premachyut, who is running an Ashram and Gurukul, was putting an iron angle in disputed land, besides his own house. It is alleged that on raising objection by the complainant, the petitioners abused him by the name of his caste.
