CWP(T) No.: 8320 of 2008.
Decided on: 15.12.2010.
__________________________________________________________ Ranjit Singh. … Petitioner. Versus State of Himachal Pradesh others. … Respondents.
Coram The Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rajiv Sharma, J. Whether approved for reporting?1 For the Petitioner : Mr. Ajay Sharma, Advocate. For the Respondents : Mr. P.M. Negi, Deputy Advocate General with Mr. R.P. Singh, Assistant Advocate General.
Rajiv Sharma, J. (oral) :
The case of the petitioner, in a nutshell, is that his case has not been considered for appointment on batch-wise basis. It has come in the reply that in the Recruitment and Promotion Rules of 1973, there was no provision for filling up the posts by way of batch-wise, i.e. 50% by direct recruitment and 50% by batch-wise. Accordingly, there is no merit in this petition and the same is dismissed, so also the pending application(s), if any. No costs.
(Rajiv Sharma), Judge.
