ORAL ORDER
Learned advocate Mr. Jay M. Thakkar for the
petitioner, under instruction, seeks permission
to withdraw this petition, with a view to avail
the alternative remedy which is available to the
petitioner under Section 57(3) of the Gujarat
Panchayats Act. However, learned advocate Mr. Jay
M. Thakkar also draws attention of this Court
that the time to deposit the amount as per the
order under challenged before this Court, is
expiring on 31.03.2021 and he makes a request
that, if the time to deposit the amount, in case
if no prohibitory orders are passed before
31.03.2021 in favour of the petitioner, may be
extended, in view of the fact that now not many
days are left for the petitioner to file

appropriate application before 31.03.2021.
Hence, upon a request of the learned advocate
Mr. Jay Thakkar, permission to withdraw this
petition, as prayed for is granted. However, the
time to deposit the amount, as per the impugned
order, is extended for a further period upto
22.04.2021.
With the aforesaid direction, the petition
stands disposed of, as withdrawn, accordingly.
It is clarified that since the petition is
being withdrawn on account of availing
alternative remedy, it is needless to say that,
this Court has not gone into the merits of the
matter.
