1. Heard Mr. H. R. A. Choudhury, learned Senior Counsel assisted by Mr. D. A. Kaiyum, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. D. P. Goswami, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam.

This is an application filed under Section 482 read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, praying for granting transit anticipatory bail to the petitioner in respect of Sion Police Station, Mumbai FIR/Case No.65/2026, registered under Section 318(4)/319(2) of the BNS read with Section 66(C)/66(D) of

3. The petitioner, Zahidur Alom @ Zahidar Najibur Alom has received a notice under Section 35(3) of the BNSS, 2023 from Sion Police Station asking him to appear within next 10 (ten) days from receiving the notice.

4. The petitioner submits that he has never visited Mumbai in his life and, therefore, he is looking for somebody to accompany him to Mumbai. The petitioner also submits that he is ready to appear before the Sion Police Station but, needs some protection till the appearance before Police.

5. I have heard the submissions made by the learned counsel of both sides.

6. The petitioner, Zahidur Alom @ Zahidar Najibur Alom is allowed 30 (thirty) days time from today to appear before the Sion Police Station.

It is hereby directed that within these 30 (thirty) days period, if he is arrested in connection with Sion Police Station, Mumbai FIR/Case No.65/2026, the petitioner, Zahidur Alom @ Zahidar Najibur Alom shall be released on bail of Rs.25,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the arresting authority.
