Heard Mr. S.S.A. Rahman, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. S. M. T. Chistie, learned counsel appearing for the contemnor Nos.2, 3 and 4.

2. In compliance with the earlier direction of this court, both the respondents/contemnor Nos.3 and 4, i.e., Sri Narayan Knowar , IAS, the Secretary, Department of School Education, Government of Assam, and Ms. Mamata Hojai , the Director of Secondary Education, Government of Assam, are present in person before this court today and have also filed an affidavit of compliance.

3. In the affidavit, it has been stated that the judgment and order dated 19.07.2019, non compliance of which was alleged in the present contempt proceedings, has since been duly complied with. A perusal of the documents annexed support the statements of compliance which has been effected after the order of this court directing their personal appearance.

4. The respondents have further tendered their unconditional apology and have also explained the delay, which appears to be bonafide.

5. In view of the compliance now reported, coupled with the unconditional apologies offered, this court is satisfied that no further action is required.

6. The contempt proceedings are therefore closed. The personal appearance of the respondent Nos. 3 and 4 stands dispensed with. Notices are accordingly discharged.
