Heard Mr. J. K. Roy, learned counsel for the applicant. Also heard Mr. M. Chetia, learned Government Advocate for the State respondents.
By filing this application, the applicant has prayed for impleadment of (i) Director General of Police, (ii) Assistant Inspector General of Police (A), State of Assam, & (iii) Secretary, Finance Department, Government of Assam, as respondent Nos. 7, 8 & 9 in the connected writ petition, being WP(C) No. 3720/2025.
The applicant has filed the aforesaid writ petition praying for a direction to release the outstanding dues on account of hiring of his vehicles. The vehicles of the applicant were hired on behalf of the Commissioner, Home, Government of Assam.
It is submitted by Mr. Roy, learned counsel for the applicant, that inadvertently the Director General of Police; Assistant Inspector General of Police (A), State of Assam; and Secretary, Finance Department, Government of Assam, have not been arrayed as party respondents in the connected writ petition, whereas the proposed respondents are the necessary parties in view of the fact that the payment has to be made by the said respondents.
Having considered that the parties proposed to be impleaded appeared to be necessary parties and the prayer for impleadment having not been objected to by the learned counsel for the respondents, this interlocutory application is allowed.

Accordingly, the Director General of Police; Assistant Inspector General of Police (A), State of Assam; & Secretary, Finance Department, Government of Assam, are allowed to be impleaded as respondent Nos. 7, 8 & 9, respectively, in the connected writ petition, being WP(C) No. 3720/2025.
The interlocutory application stands disposed of.
