Heard Mr. M. A. Sheikh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. B. Choudhury, learned Standing Counsel BTC.

It is the case of the petitioner that pursuant to a tender notice dated 23.05.2023, he was settled with the Katajhar Market in Baksa district.

The case of the petitioner is that the said Market should also include the sale and purchase of Cattle, as the General Body Meeting held in Katajhar Market on 06.12.2023 resolved that there should be sale and purchase of Cattle in the Market. He submits that the petitioner’s representation was sent to the respondent no. 4. However, no decision has been taken by the respondent no. 4 with regard to the petitioner’s representation (Annexure-9). He, accordingly, submits that a direction should be issued to the respondent no. 4, to take a decision on the petitioner’s representation within a specified time limit.

Mr. B. Choudhury, learned Standing Counsel, BTC submits that he has no objection to the prayer made by the petitioner’s counsel.

In view of the consent of the parties, the respondent no. 4 is directed to take a decision on the petitioner’s representation (Annexure-9), within a period of 3 (three) weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.

The decision taken by the respondent no. 4 should be furnished to the petitioner.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
