The grievance of the petitioner is that his application dated 31.07.2023 for voluntary retirement has not been processed till date. This Court under its order dated 22.12.2023, requested Mr. R. Dhar, learned Additional Senior Government Advocate, Assam to obtain instruction in this regard and apprise this Court.
Mr. Dhar, learned counsel on instruction submits that the application of the petitioner could not be expedited as the petitioner was on leave, however, the process of consideration has progressed and it will be finalized within a period of two weeks from today.
In this regard, Mr. Dhar, learned counsel has also produced a communication dated 04.01.2024 addressed by the Director of Sericulture, Assam to him which discloses the similar action on the part of the respondents.
In view of the aforesaid instruction and as agreed to by both the learned counsels for the parties, this writ petition stands closed with a direction to the respondent/Director, Sericulture, Assam to consider the application of the petitioner and decide the same within a period of two weeks from today and the decision thereof be communicated to the petitioner.
If the petitioner is aggrieved by such decision, he shall be at liberty to approach this Court for redressal of his grievances.
The communication dated 04.01.2024 addressed to Mr. R. Dhar, learned Additional Senior Government Advocate, Assam by the Director, Sericulture, Assam is kept on record and marked as document “X”.
This writ petition stands disposed of.
