2. Also heard Mr. U. Sarma, learned standing counsel, Secondary Education Department, for the respondent Nos. 1, 3 & 5 and Mr. G. Pegu, learned Government Advocate, for the respondent Nos. 2 & 4.
3. The father of the petitioner, late Hirendra Chandra Das while serving as an Assistant Teacher at Sampat Ram Tapashil High School, Cachar, Assam died in harness on 10.03.2010. Thereafter, the mother of the petitioner made an application for appointment on compassionate ground on 09.02.2011 for a Grade-IV post. The application made by the mother of the petitioner was not considered at any point of time and in the meantime, the petitioner attained majority and accordingly, the petitioner made his application for appointment on compassionate ground on 27.03.2018.

4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that his application is yet to be considered by the concerned DLC.
5. Considering the limited prayer involved, this writ petition is disposed of directing the authorities to place the application of the petitioner before the concerned DLC in its next immediate sitting. However, if the DLC has already considered the case of the petitioner, the outcome of such consideration should be communicated to the petitioner forthwith.
6. With the above observations and directions, this writ petition is disposed.
