1 . Heard Mr. S.B. Laskar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. D. Upamanyu, learned Standing Counsel, Health Department.

2 . Having regard to the grievance projected by the petitioner, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the Motion stage itself.

3 . The claim of the petitioner is that she is undergoing Diploma in Pharmacy in the Institute of Pharmacy under the Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh, which is a 2 year course. It is the claim of the petitioner that her only son who is about 3 years of age is being looked up by her mother in Karimganj. Since the husband of the petitioner is the sole bread-earner of the family, he is not in a position to look after the child and therefore, the petitioner submitted an application before the Director of Medical Education, Assam (respondent no.2) on 09.02.2024 requesting the said authority to transfer the study centre of the petitioner to the Institute of Pharmacy under the Silchar Medical College & Hospital, Cachar, Silchar. However, the representation has not been considered by the said authority till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

The learned counsel submits that the limited prayer of the petitioner at this stage is that the said representation be directed to be considered and disposed of by the respondent no.2 within a timeframe.

4 . Mr. D. Upamanyu, learned Standing Counsel, Health Department does not have any objection to the said prayer.

5 . In view of above, the writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondent no.2 to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on 09.02.2024 within a period of 2 (two) weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order and thereafter pass a speaking order which should be communicated to the petitioner.
