Mr. A. Khound, learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant has filed the instant application seeking her impleadment as the petitioner, since

her husband Shri Nagen Chandra Sarma has expired on 02.05.2024. He submits that the claim of the writ petitioner is for payment of pension and gratuity and since the cause of action survives, the prayer of the applicant may be allowed.
Mr. A. Dey, learned counsel for the Gauhati University has no objection to the prayer of the applicant’s counsel.
In view of above, he application for impleadment of the applicant Smt. Alaka Devi as the writ petitioner in the main writ petition is hereby allowed.
