Heard Mr. H. Baruah, learned counsel for the petitioner.

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for a direction to the respondents to upgrade/promote the petitioner to the post of Library Assistant at Kamrup College, Chamata, Nalbari.

Today, when the matter is taken up, Mr. S. Das, learned Standing counsel, Higher Education Department has produced an order dated 01.08.2024 issued by the Director of Higher Education, Assam, whereby the petitioner is promoted to the post of Library Assistant vice Sri Bipin Chandra Barman promoted to Senior Assistant on 01.12.2021. A copy of the order dated 01.08.2024 has also been furnished to the learned counsel for the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the order dated 01.08.2024, nothing survives in the present writ petition.

Recording the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is, accordingly, closed.
