Heard Mr. R. Sarma, learned counsel for the applicant. Also heard Ms. A. Gayan, learned CGC for the opposite parties.

By this application, the applicant is praying for correction of the surname of the petitioner No.2 in WP(C)/167/2024 as “Sri Bichitra Boruah” instead of “Sri Bichitra Baruah” and also the name of the father of the petitioner No.2 as

“Bharat Boruah” instead of “Paresh Ray” and also the Pin Code of the resident of the applicant in the order dated 12.01.2024 passed in WP(C)/167/2024 as “784168” instead of “78416”.

This Court has found that the mistake has been committed in the cause title of the writ petition which was already disposed of by order dated 12.01.2024 and therefore, unless the cause title is amended, the prayer for correction cannot be allowed.

Considering the prayer made in the present application, this I.A. is disposed of by granting leave to the applicant to file an amended cause title in the disposed of Writ Petition No.167/2024. If such an amended cause title is filed, the same shall be duly acted upon where after, the applicant be furnished fresh certified copies in terms of the corrected cause title.
