Heard Mr. C. M. Mahanta, learned counsel for the applicant and Mr. U. Sarma, learned Standing Counsel, Secondary Education Department for the opposite party Nos. 1, 2 and 4. Also heard Mr. B. Deuri, learned Government Advocate, Assam for the opposite party No. 3; Mr. A. Chaliha, learned Standing Counsel, Finance Department for the opposite party No. 5; Mr. L. C. Dey, learned counsel for the opposite party No. 6 as well as Mr. D. Bhattacharya,

learned Standing Counsel, the Accountant General (A & E), Assam for the opposite party No.7.

2) By this application, the applicant as petitioner has filed the connected WP(C) No. 2425/2021 praying for impleadment of the Finance Department of the State represented by the Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam as well as the Treasury Officer, Dergaon, District - Golaghat as party respondent Nos. 8 and 9 in the connected WP(C) No. 2425/2021 preferred by the applicant.

3) On perusal of the connected WP(C) No. 2425/2021, preferred by the applicant as petitioner and on hearing the learned counsels for the parties, the Court is of the opinion that the Finance Department of the State as well as the Treasury Officer, Dergaon District Golaghat are necessary parties for proper adjudication of the connected WP(C) No. 2425/2021.

4) Accordingly, the Finance Department of the State, represented by the Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam as well as the Treasury Officer, Dergaon, District - Golaghat be impleaded as party respondent Nos. 8 and 9 in the connected WP(C) No. 2425/2021.

5) Accordingly, the Registry shall do the needful.

6) With the above observation and direction, this interlocutory application stands allowed.
