Heard Mr.P.K.Goswami, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. G.Pegu, learned standing counsel, Elementary Education appears for the respondent Nos. 1, 2, 4 and 5 and Mr. P.Saikia, learned Govt. Advocate appears for the respondent No.3.

The father of the petitioner while serving as a Grade-IV employee of Janata High School, Bihampur, died-in-harness on 01.05.2014. Thereafter, the petitioner made an application for appointment on compassionate grounds within the prescribed period. The case of the petitioner was considered by the District Level Committee in its meeting held on 24.06.2014. However, it took a decision to put up the case of the petitioner in the next DLC meeting due to lack of vacant post for the post of Grade-IV.

Grievance of the petitioner in this writ petition is that the DLC is yet to consider the case for the second time till date. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of directing the District Level Committee to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate grounds in accordance with law in its next immediate sitting, if not already considered. If the case of the petitioner has already been considered for the second time, the outcome of such
