Heard Mr. S. Nath, learned counsel for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. B.K. Das, learned counsel for the respondents.

This writ petition has been filed challenging the order dated 05.03.2021 passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal, Guwahati Bench in O.A. No. 040/00064/2021 whereby the Original Application filed by the petitioners has been dismissed

By filing an additional affidavit in reply dated 03.08.2022, the petitioner No.2 has brought on record that she is no more a married woman as the District Judge, Bongaigaon has passed an order on 31.03.2022 in T.S.(D) Case No. 10/2019 thereby dissolving her marriage by a decree of divorce on mutual consent in terms of Section 13(B) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.

Mr. S. Nath, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in view of the changed circumstances, the petitioner No.2 would like to approach the authorities with a fresh application for consideration of her case for compassionate appointment.

Be that as it may, without expressing any opinion on merits, we direct that if any such application is filed by the petitioner No.2, the same shall be dealt with by the authorities in accordance with law.

The writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
